We regularly find while out on site visits that either the customer we are visiting, or a neighbour has an un-secured wireless network setup. This is a huge problem which opens your network up to massive abuse. Anyone who can pick up your wireless signal can use your internet without you even knowing it. This could lead to legal action against you or even a visit from your local police force should this illegal connection to your internet be used for criminal activities.

Check the picture below which clearly shows how you can tell if your wireless connection is secure. Note the padlock indicated by the red arrow. As you can see, every network in our area is secured.

If you are in any doubts what so ever over your security status, call us to arrange a site visit.
